In mid-July 2010 archaeologists at AKRF archaeologists working for the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey to monitor excavation at the World Trade Center (WTC) Vehicle Security Center (VSC) and Tour Bus Parking Facility site, unearthed remains of a late 18th or early 19th century ship. The ship's remains were carefully transported to the Maryland Archaeological Conservation Laboratory where they have been undergoing conservation treatment and study. Please join us as Elizabeth Meade of ARKF and Nichole Daub of the Maryland Conservation Lab present:

Presenter Guidelines:

  1. Presenters must be members of MAAC for 2011. (For multiple authors, identify the presenter and list the presenter as the first author)
  2. Registration fees and membership dues are due no later than December 15, 2010.
  3. An individual can be the primary author on only one paper.
  4. Persons with unexcused absences from the 2010 meeting will be prohibited from presenting papers at the 2011 conference. An unexcused absence is defined as an absence without prior notification from a person who agreed to present a paper.

The deadline for the paper title and abstract is December 15, 2010. In addition to the title and abstract (150 words or less), please provide name, affiliation, address, phone, and email address for each presenter. Finally, please include audio-visual requirements. Abstracts are to be submitted to the Program Chair in hard copy and on disk or attached to an e-mail in .doc format.
